So you know that story I posted about me going to Irvine for the Battle of the Ballroom MMA/Boxing hybrid card? Well i was totally not expecting it but Fabricio Werdum was working a corner. What a freaking god send right? I had like no time to prepare and I was a bit worried. I had a chance to interview Thiago Silva a month back and everything was ready to go. Rose Gracie (Rorion Gracie’s daughter) was due to be my translator but she was also running her families BJJ tourney at the same time so I couldn’t get the interview. Luckily Fabrico had one with him, problem was he had to bounce after two questions. Crazy thing is, Werdum speaks perfect freaking spanish!
He has family in Spain, so it was pretty cool finding out he is a fanatic for Real Madrid like I am. I must admit though, my spanish speaking skills is balls! so I apologize, he was telling me all this information and I couldn’t remember everything word for word during the interview.
