With Bellator 110 and the next Bellator light heavyweight tournament featuring Rampage Jackson and King Mo about to get underway, we’re thrilled to have talked to former UFC champion, Rampage Jackson. Even if the subject of the UFC inevitably comes up. It’s part of the territory, ‘Page knows this, and his former employer looms large over every MMA gym past or present. We’re not trying to get conspiratorial here, it’s just the truth, and Rampage only adds to this stance on the omnipresent Zuffa. He believes Dana White had somehow blocked the Roy Jones Jr. fight with Rampage purely because of ego and self preservation.

Fascinating.

As always, Rampage provides a must-watch interview with Marcos Villegas behind the camera. Choice quotes are below, but you really need to watch this.

“I don’t know, I don’t know what happened. Last I heard Roy was gonna fight Anderson Silva or something, I don’t know. I think after Dana heard what was going on he went and tried to spoil our plans. Honestly, the UFC has a big ego and those guys are haters even though I moved on. They left a bitter taste in my mouth and I said some bad things that maybe I shouldn’t say at all, but I wouldn’t if people didn’t keep asking me questions! You guys have to understand that when I’m doing an interview about the UFC and I could say ‘no comment’ or answer the question.”

“Dana, he sees there’s a big opportunity for Bellator and for me to fight Roy Jones so I’m sure he tries his best to stop that. We’re human beings, Dana lies, I lie just like everyone else. I keep it real as much as possible. I think people that lie are cowards. I want to be known as a person who keeps it real.”
