Following the UFC middleweight championship that is in the books after this weekend, seeing champion Anderson Silva defend his belt for a record setting tenth time, Strikeforce middleweight champion Luke Rockhold (9-1) will be defending his own belt for the second time this year against Tim Kennedy (14-3) at the Rose Garden in Portland, Oregon.
Our camera crews caught up with the champ and talked to him about fighting the MMA middleweight king and other opponent threats in his division. “Anderson is the best in the world… I would love to fight him in his prime and before he retires, not doing that would be heartbreaking, I want to fight the best and he is the best.” How far would he go for this match you ask – “I would take a paycut if it meant I could fight Anderson Silva.”
