Golden Boy Promotions founder Oscar De La Hoya is known to watch a bit of MMA in his downtime, and when the UFC staged it’s 5th event on Fox, De La Hoya went to twitter to announce that he was enjoying the event with some commentary of his own. If you followed De La Hoya’s tweets, he was closely watching the match-up between BJ Penn vs. Rory Macdonald. De La Hoya, tweeted that he felt Macdonald could of put the MMA pioneer away; referring to the second round of the fight in which Macdonald hurt Penn on multiple occasions with stiff body shots.
De La Hoya of course noticed this and when speaking to our correspondent Marcos Villegas, wanted to offer some advice to the up and coming star, ” He looks like he has that ‘it’ factor…feel that killer instinct, feel it and go after it! I would love to see him use that jab to the body. If I was in there with him, that jab to the body would of paralyzed him.”
