Cyborg Justino, formerly Cyborg Santos, has been able to keep herself in the headlines while staying only moderately busy in 2013. She made her return from a steroid suspension to take the Invicta featherweight title by beating up Marloes Coenen a second time, and has since been led by Tito Ortiz into Lion Fight’s muay thai promotion on AXSTV as she waits for her next MMA battle.

We caught up with the former Strikeforce featherweight champion and woman who retired Gina Carano to ask her just about every pertinent question we could when it comes to the sport of WMMA. Check out her interview below, touching on a myriad of subjects including Ronda Rousey, of course.

“It’s hard I like to compete all the time because you keep motivation. I try to compete jiu jitsu, mauy thai and wrestling to keep it exciting. I try to train to not lose focus.”

When asked about the UFC, Cyborg is pleased but feels they need more divisions:

“They need to make more weight (classes)”

On Ronda vs. Miesha 2:

“Ronda showed she (is striking) better and is training better and it was a good fight.”

Ronda/McMann:

“It’s good. It’s Olympic judo vs wrestling. It’s good for the sport.”

When asked who would win:

“I don’t know. I hope for great fight.”
