Amir Khan Open Work Out: “These guys from Ireland, they come to win”

Our special partners across the pond at Hatton TV were so kind as to catch up with one of boxing’s rising talents in Amir Khan. Since winning the silver medal at the 2004 Athens Olympic games Khan has been in the public spotlight in his home country. Though he has had a few road block up to this point in is career, Khan is looking to grow his name here in the states. Sporting a record of 24-1, and notable wins over Paulie Malignaggi and Marcos Maidana, Khan is banking on a super fight and super stardom in the near future.

In his way to that path and a potential unification bout with Timothy Bradley is rugged and undefeated Paul McCloskey. The Irish southpaw is the current European light-welterweight champion and is looking to derail Khan for the second time of his career. Both fighters had a chance to talk to our cameras as we caught them in action working out for assembled fans and media in preparation for this Saturday’s April 16th bout between the two at the M.E.N. Arena, in Manchester, England.
