Tito Ortiz puts Alexander Shlemenko to sleep in the first round, wow!

Tito-Ortiz

I loved the Shlemenko/Ortiz matchmaking because it was so ridiculous. A middleweight champ, a badass Russian one at that, afraid of nothing, calling out a man much bigger than him. The former champ, ravaged by injuries both mental and physical, and it ends in wild fashion.

Shlemenko went after the body early and often, as Tito is known to wilt at the bodyshots and Shlemenko is known to rip them, and while the old guy in Tito looked rusty, slow and beat up, but he waded through the shots put on him by Shlemenko, brought the Russian down then step by step put him in a head-arm triangle choke that was utter perfection.

Of course, Shlemenko would rather go to sleep than tap.

Post-fight, Tito calls out the UFC for taking him out of the record books, quotes Hulk Hogan, and says he’s back, brother.

Zprophet with the replay!
