It went just like a Palhares fight. Ahem, excuse me, a Paul Harris fight. Mike Pierce went for the explosive start, then Palhares dropped down, hooked the heel, and made Pierce tap, then tap…. and tap again.
This is the third or fourth time Palhares has held onto a submission far too long, and Mike Pierce was absolutely pissed about it. It looks like the long-time top 15 welterweight was complaining about the long hold well after the fight was over, and one has to wonder if Palhares will be fined.
