Mark Munoz and Gegard Mousasi are set to do battle this Saturday in Berlin at UFC Fight Night. If you were to take a look at this bout on paper, you could say this is a classic striker vs. wrestler match-up. We all know both guys pedigrees in their respective fields though Mark Munoz wants to show that he can bang with the best of them.

In speaking with me at his Reign Training Center in this video interview, Munoz spoke about new changes to his camp such as incorporating Alex Palma into the fold as well as sparring with killers such as Joe Schilling. Yea, that Joe Schilling from Glory.

If you are expecting a western shoot out inside the Octagon on Saturday though don’t look for it. Munoz though having worked on his striking will not go away from his bread and butter:

“He’s a amazing fighter but the game has evolved quiet a bit since then. Since he has been in MMA he hasn’t evolved in the wrestling department. So I’m looking to expose that and that’s no secret. I’m not giving away any secrets; people know I’m going to take him down and Donkey Kong is going to come out.”

See why Munoz brought in a mental coach and what he thought of Mousasi when he first burst onto the MMA scene in the full interview below:
