Master Rafael Cordeiro has a long history in Mixed Martial Arts, even if you haven’t heard of him (you should know him). One of the leaders of the Chute Boxe Academy in Brazil along with Wanderlei Silva and Shogun during the Pride era, Rafael Cordeiro is known as one of the elite trainers in MMA, and he’s one hell of a fighter himself.

Nowadays, he’s running his gym, King’s MMA, in southern California. He works with a whole slew of stars, but this week it’s all about Lyoto Machida.

Our own Marcos Villegas caught up with Master Cordeiro to discuss Machida’s fight with former Strikeforce light heavyweight champ, Gegard Mousasi and more. This is a fantastic interview, watch it:

“I think Machida is very close to another challenge for the belt, he trained a lot for this fight, more than three months. It’s going to be an interesting fight, we respect Mousasi he’s an amazing fighter with a long time on the road.”
