Well this is just ****ing perfect. Chalk this up as the number one fight I can’t wait to see in 2014. The most obvious match to make in any division in all of MMA: Mark Hunt vs. Roy Nelson.
This is like a videogame matchup, people. Nothing could ever be better than this. On one hand, you have a man who throughout his K-1 and MMA career has only been knocked out a handful of times in Mark Hunt, and on the other side of the Octagon you have Roy Nelson, someone who holds the UFC heavyweight record for shots absorbed. He hasn’t been knocked out since 2008, when Andrei Arlovski put him to sleep in Elite XC.
Combined, they have more knockouts notched in their belts than I can count.
Someone is going to fall. Or not. I don’t know. All I do know is that it’s going to be entertaining as hell.
