Hendricks vs Lawler had some of the weirdest scoring on the judge’s cards…

method=get&s=sheet

Alright, alright, I know – Hendricks won. Although I personally think Lawler has an argument for round 1, there’s no doubt Hendricks won rounds 2 and 5. Them’s the breaks, and I accept that as someone who was rooting for Lawler (Strikeforce never die, Elite XC never die, Miletich Fighting Systems never die). But, a 10-8 round for Johny in the second? I love the 10-10 in round 5, because he had the balls enough to actually give the score we just never see and should see more of, but that’s wrong too! Johny won 5.

So we ultimately got the correct outcome but the path was a winding and confusing trail. You can blame judge Doug Crosby.

The other judges, Aladin Martinez and Mike Gonzales, had rounds 1 and 2 for Hendricks, while scoring 3 and 4 for Lawler then  5 for Hendricks. Crosby did some drugs then scored round 2 10-8 for Hendricks and 5 a 10-10 tie.

Confusing. Time to watch the fight for the third time I guess. Thanks, Texas.
