A pretty interesting fight is happening this weekend on Saturday, February 23 In Anaheim, CA. The little foxy lady that is Ronda Rousey will have the enormous task of headlining her first major PPV. The arduous task of defeating Liz Carmouche and the pressure to deliver a good fight that will not only have hardcore MMA fans asking for more but leaving casual fans saying, “Damn, what a good fight.”

It is probable that Rousey finishes the fight like her other ones, via armbar and in short manner; though will that be enough to satisfy fans who are buying a PPV? I know for one thing, I can only imagine the pressure of having to handle this and the stresses that come from fight week. Carmouche is in a good position with nothing to lose and having to deal with little stress. If there was ever a time in which conditions were right for a upset, you have the elements brewing right now.

We recently caught up with Cyborg Santos as we asked what she thought about the UFC 157 match-up. She gives her breakdown of each fighters and comments that whatever happens she just wants it to be a good fight, so that it will help the sport of women’s MMA grow. Which takes me back to what I stated in the above paragraph. The real question at the end of the night is how did the pressure of headlining your first PPV card and dealing with the hectic media schedule factor in Rousey’s mindframe coming into the fight and wether casual and hardcore fans will be happy if the outcome mirrors Rousey’ past track record of fights.

I tell you one thing though, I will be happy either way…I get to see Ronda Rousey fight and in some really tight shorts.
