The slow burn that has been the lead up to UFC 170 is here, finally. I want to point out a few interesting things I noticed during Ronda and McMann’s weigh-in yesterday (watch it here, yo): First, Ronda went straight alpha female like she usually does at the face off. McMann didn’t seem flustered, but she resigned herself to, “ok, it’s on.” Well, after that, Ronda called her back and gave her a double-handed handshake and looked her in the eyes as a good sign of sportsmanship.
Miesha Tate, McMann is not.
Ronda knows this too. Sara McMann is a legit badass, and she said after the weigh-in that this would be the best women’s fight ever in MMA. I think she’s right. Considering how talented these women are, I fully expect them to go back and forth for five rounds. Either that, or Ronda finishes her in a minute or two. Don’t know which.
