When the UFC put together their big end of the year press conference two weeks ago, many expected for UFC brass to finally unveil a uniform for the world’s leading MMA promotion, but Dana White noted that the big reveal that was planned did not get done in time.

Well, two weeks later it seems the UFC finally got the deal done, and have announced a groundbreaking partnership with Reebok.

Here are a few notes from the press conference:

  • The UFC and Reebok deal is a six-year contract.
  • Athletes will no longer be permitted to have outside sponsor logos on athletic apparel during UFC fight week and events
  • There is a tiered base compensation level for fighters that will be based on the media-selected rankings system. Champions will be paid the most.
