Leo Santa Cruz says he is not scared of Quigg, Frampton or Rigondeaux, but finds Rigo annoying

Santa Cruz Presser Mayhem

WBC junior featherweight titlist Leo Santa Cruz  has steadily made a name for himself in the sport of boxing over the past few years and now there is demand that he faces the other top fighters in the 122-pound division.

Names like Scott Quigg, Carl Frampton and Guillermo Rigondeaux are brought up time and time again to Santa Cruz, but despite the repeated request none of the aforementioned fighter will face Santa Cruz next.

Santa Cruz (27-0-1, 15 KOs) will face Manuel Roman (17-2-3, 6 KOs) as the co-main event on Saturday night’s big Floyd Mayweather Jr. versus Marcos Maidana II pay-per-view card at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Roman should be easy work for the 26-year-old Santa Cruz, as long as he doesn’t look past him, which shouldn’t be the case with Santa Cruz’s usual focus on any fight put in front of him.

Should be victorious Saturday night, the questions regarding a bout with Quigg, Frampton and Rigondeuax will undoubtedly pop up right away at the post-fight presser.

Although Santa Cruz thinks that Rigondeaux is the most annoying out of the three mentioned and sees him as boring, Rigo is still viewed as the No. 1 fighter at 122 pounds. Besting the undefeated Cuban, boring or not, would the best thing for his career right now.
