Hopkins says enjoy him while he’s still fighting

Bernard Hopkins is known as the ageless one due to him being the oldest champion in boxing history, which is a feat that can’t be matched in any other sport.

Hopkins will look to defeat a fighter in Sergey Kovalev Saturday Nov. 8 at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey that many feel is the toughest test in recent memory for the current IBF and WBA super light weight champion.

With Kovalev’s uncanny ability to end fights early, many see this being the end of Hopkins reign and the beginning of the end of his career. With Hopkin’s veteran ring savvy and gritty fight style, don’t expect Kovalev to knock “The Alien” out, as he has proven to be one of the toughest men in the sport today.

Hopkins wants everyone to enjoy him now and stop questioning why he is still fighting at such an advanced age for a boxer. He is right. There aren’t many more fighters as well-known as Hopkins and add that to his incredible feats of nature and we have something that we may never experience again in the sport.

Hopkins may not fight the prettiest of fights, but we have to enjoy the ugly fights that are Hopkins fights, as despite the sometimes frustrating nature, once he is gone and solely a promoter, the sport will miss him.
