Mayweather Jr. released from jail

It seems that Floyd Mayweather Jr., has been released from Clark Country Jail after posting bail on a felony theft charge stemming from a domestic violence complaint by his ex-girlfriend and mother of his children. Media was present when Mayweather was released but the boxer said nothing.

The reported amount for bail was listed at $3,000 dollars.

As ESPN.com reported Mayweather’s lawyer, Richard Wright, says the charge stems from an allegation that Mayweather took an iPhone from Josie Harris, his ex-girlfriend and mother of three of his children. Josie Harris, reported to police on Thursday claiming a domestic violence incident. To be more specific, she reported that Mayweather had pulled her hair, punched her in the head and twisted her arm while she screamed for their children, ranging in age from 7 to almost 11, to call 911.

Mayweather turned himself to police earlier in the day. This is not the first time both Mayweather Jr. and Harris have had domestic issues. In 2005, Harris accused Mayweather of hitting and kicking her during a arguement outside of a night club in Las Vegas. Nothing ever came from this incident as Harris testified that she lied to police because she was angry Mayweather left her for another woman.
