It was announced earlier today that Heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko will face mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin in September in Germany.
The two fighters respective promotional companies put in a bid war for the revenue spilt of the fight and K2 promotions, owned by both Klitschkos won the purse bid. The split will be 75 percent to the champion (Klitschko) and 25 percent to the challenge (Povetkin). Under IBF rules, Klitschko is entitled to $6,234,750 and Povetkin $2,078,250.
