As the premiere of Fight Factory approaches on nuvoTV we are getting to see a more complete picture into the rift between Javier Mendez and Josh Koscheck. In this one on one interview, Marcos Villegas speaks to Mendez as the two go in depth about the split. Mendez reveals that the AKA team got stronger in his eyes after Koscheck left the gym and no resentment was shown to him when the welterweight contender left. When asked if the two could ever reconcile Mendez spoke on the one time the two did tried to talk things out and according to him it ended badly, “I had my one talk with him and there is nothing that ever needs to be said ever again. I wish him luck and he wishes my place be burned down but I wish him the best…whatever..for me we move forward. There is no need for me and him to ever talk again. There is no hate on my part but I am moving on.”
Strong stuff right? The actually meeting between the two was filmed by the Fight Factory cameras and by what Mendez is saying, you can expect fireworks to come out of Koscheck when the clip finally airs. Don’t forget to catch the premiere of Fight Factory on Aug 15th!
