Easy UFC 133 Betting – Vitor Belfort to KO Yoshihiro Akiyama

By Greg Riot

Vitor Belfort and Yoshihiro Akiyama are both thinking knock out in their upcoming UFC 133 match up. They are coming into this fight appearing extremely confident, but if this fight is going to be an all out brawl then I am putting my money on Vitor Belfort. Belfort has a 19-9 record with 13 wins via KO while YoshihiroSexyama” has a 13-3 record with only 5 wins via KO. Here are the UFC 133 Betting Odds on this fight from our friends over at BetDSI:

YOSHIHIRO AKIYAMA PK+250
VITOR BELFORT PK-310

I agree with having Vitor as the favorite, especially considering how poorly Akiyama fought in his last two fights against Chris Leben and Michael Bisping, which were both losses. You may think I am being too hard on the guy considering that he won Fight of the Night awards in his last three fights. What I’m getting at is that in both of those fights he looked winded, un-motivated and demonstrated a lack of technique. What’s more, he could have won in both those fights, opportunities did present themselves, but his mental game just wasn’t there and he looked lazy after a while in both of those fights.

Vitor’s last fight was for the UFC Middleweight Championship against Anderson “The Spider” Silva. Before he got KO’d by a vicious front kick that came out of nowhere, Belfort was looking pretty good against an opponent who has arguably the most elusive striking in all of MMA.  “The Phenom” has a good chance of disputing the title once again within a year or two if he can strongly finish off his next 2-3 opponents.

Both fighters are coming into this match with a big need to win. Vitor has to regain some footing after eating Silva’s foot in the most talked about and replayed KO highlight of 2011. “Sexyama” on the other hand, isn’t big pimpin no more with two straight losses on his record. His female fans might just start looking for another Asian persuasion to admire, and you’re uncle is going to have to change out that Sexyama” poster he has. Also, it isn’t farfetched to say that Akiyama is in danger of getting cut if he doesn’t win in one of his next two fights.
