Undefeated Junior Welterweight Michael Dallas Jr. will look for his fifth victory of 2010 on Thursday, October 7, at Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino in Lemoore, California.
Hailing from nearby Bakersfield and known as The Silent Assassin, Dallas Jr. (15-0-1, 5 KOs) is coming off a big win over highly touted Lenard Lane on Showtime and will square off against Miami veteran Lenin Arroyo (20-13-1, 4 KOs) in an eight round main event. Arroyo is no stranger to fighting undefeated fighters and is looking to derail the skyrocketing Dallas on his home turf.
Another featured attraction that night, fighting in a super middleweight contest, 2008 US Olympian Shawn Estrada (8-0, 8 KOs) vs. Mexico’s Arturo “El Caballo” Rodriguez (12-11, 7 KOs). Estrada, who grew up in nearby Hanford, will step into the ring for the second time since coming off a layoff due to injury and will look to extend his record to 9-0 and keep his perfect KO streak rolling.
In jr. middleweight action, it’s a classic California shootout when 2008 U.S. Olympian Javier Molina (3-0, 3KOs) makes his return to the ring to face Palmdale’s Marco Arauz (3-6-2, 1 KO) in a four round fight.
The evening will showcase other young blue chip talent including, Fresno’s own and recently signed to the Goossen Tutor stable, Michael Ruiz Jr (5-0, 2KOs) vs the experienced Frank Gutierrez of Fontana, CA along with Super Featherweight “Hostile” Kevin Hoskins (2-0, 2 KOs) and Super Flyweight Matt Villanueva (2-0, 2 KOs), both fighting out of Joe Goossen’s gym in Van Nuys.
