At the beginning of the press tour for Cotto vs. Martinez, Sergio Martinez proclaimed that he would knockout Miguel Cotto in nine rounds. He has not frayed from this statement as in recent interviews from his training camp assured press that this indeed will happen.
Team Cotto thinks otherwise and have their own prognosis of how the bout will end. Writing out that prescription is hall of fame trainer Freddie Roach. Roach commented to me yesterday that Cotto looks so good in camp that a knockout will happen in round four. Yup, that got your attention. Freddie Roach is predicting a four round stoppage and says it will come via a hook to the head.
