On September 15th a dream match will finally be realized as Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and Sergio Martinez will settle it in the ring once and for all for the right to be called the true middleweight champion of the world. The former champion Martinez, was stripped of his title after refusing to face his mandatory match up in Sebastian Zbik. He was stripped of his title and Zbik became the interim champion, facing Chavez Jr. in 2011 to unify the title. Chavez Jr would win via unanimous decision and for the better part of a year and a half since then, both fighters have been trash talking back and forth.
In Los Angeles today Top Rank Boxing held the kick off press conference to announce the September 15th bout as we put together this highlight piece for all of you to see!
