Coming into his middleweight debut at the Garden in New York, Miguel Cotto is calm, cool and collective as normal. He is attempting to make history on June 7th, a daunting task seeing that the current champion is not only bigger than him but faster as well.

It’s been the big wild card factor in the Cotto vs. Martinez build up. How will Cotto’s power translate over to middleweight and can he handle middleweight power. Cotto fans have expressed those worries but it seems Miguel Cotto has been listening to a bit of Lil Wayne in the soundtrack of his mind.

In speaking with Miguel Cotto yesterday at The Wild Card Boxing Club, he assured me that he has absolutely no worries about Sergio Martinez:

“We just prepared for a great fight. Just been trying to get the best preparation for ourselves. We don’t have any kind of worries about Sergio. If we train the way we did until now, we are definitely going to win the fight.”

If he wins this bout against “Maravilla,” Cotto will become the first Puerto Rican boxer to win four titles in four divisions. But if he achieves such a feat, will he retire? Check out my interview below to get the answer to this question.
