Jean Pascal vs. Lucian Bute is being billed as the “super bowl” of fights in Canada and rightfully so. Both boxers are from Montreal and widely known throughout their homeland. So it is no surprise that their fight this Saturday at The Bell Centre is kinda a big deal. One guy will come out the winner and with bragging rights as the best Montreal has to offer. The stakes are so high for both fighter that Pascal for sometime now has enlisted the help of Roy Jones Jr.

Jones not only brings in a great deal of knowledge to the Pascal tribe but a heft amount of experience facing off against south paws. It was the main reason Pascal reached out to Jones in the first place, ” Roy Jones was the master to beat southpaws and Bute is a southpaw. Me, I love to fight southpaws and the reason is because when I was a kid Jones was always fighting southpaws. Because of that I know the angles, I know the area to punch a south paw. It is because of that I love to fight southpaws.”

If there is someone that can make a significant difference in the way Pascal thinks in the ring against a high level opponent like Bute, it is Roy Jones Jr. Though if Pascal can pull it off and really show that he can think in their and be patient remains to be seen. We will get our answer tomorrow night in Montreal at The Bell Centre but for now enjoy the rest of this video.
