Mexican boxing legend Marco Antonio Barrera (67-7, 43 KOs) made a successful return to the ring on Saturday as he scored a second round TKO win over Jose Arias (15-2, 9 KOs). Barrera is inching close to becoming the first Mexican fighter to win 4 titles in four different divisions. The win on Saturday possibly set him up for a lightweight title shot later in the year. Barrera knocked Arias in the first 30 seconds of the fight by way of a counter shot. Arias would hit the canvas yet again as in the second round he would get hit once more and ultimately lead to the stop at 2:29.
