With Premier Boxing Champions making their jump into the fight game official Saturday with their first televised fight card on NBC, the weigh-ins for the fighters marked the last official event before the PBC on NBC era begins.
In a stacked card featuring Keith Thurman taking on Robert Guerrero, Adrien Broner facing John Molina Jr. and Abner Mares going up against Arturo Reyes, mixed with the upgraded arena and television presence, the Al Haymon backed group is set up for success.
All the fighters made weight for their prospective fights and added some drama to the mix with some heated face offs.
Broner and Molina continued their back and forth bickering that started Thursday at the final press conference, where Broner tried to get Molina into the ring inside the media room to square off right there. Sure, it was mostly for show, but Broner understands he needs to be as entertaining as possible, and play off his loudmouth ways to help promote the card.
Thurman and Guerrero also had some words to exchange with each other, after a rather cordial meeting at the final presser. Thurman is eager to prove himself against higher competition, but Guerrero is there to get his name back in the 147-pound title mix. Which should make for an action filled fight that should please all that tune in to the first NBC televised fight since 1985.
Catch all the action of the inaugural PBC on NBC at 8:30 ET/5:30 p.m. PT live on NBC.
