He has a 13-5 UFC record, is only a few fights removed from losing to Anderson Silva for the middleweight title, and has been cut, after going 3-1 in his last 4 fights, losing to Jacare Souza in Brazil last month. Apparently, Yushin Okami is just too expensive for the UFC, despite his #6 ranking.
Uhhhhhh.
That’s right, Dana White has decided to buy another Ferrari rather than keep Okami and his roughly $50k per fight deal. I’m at a loss for words. I don’t get it, and neither should you. it’s apparent that the UFC is delving further into sports entertainment and away from ‘sports.’
What a bummer. Dana even said Yushin was the best fighter to ever come out of Japan, so why, why, why??????
