UFC Welterweight championship match: Georges St-Pierre def. Carlos Condit via Unanimous Decision (50-45 x2, 49-46)

It is moments away, the fight for the undisputed UFC welterweight championship. Rogan and Goldberg are so high for this fight it is hilarious – if GSP finishes Condit, Rogan may gasm at his table. Ring rust could be a factor, fighting in front of his crowd against one of, if not THE most dangerous opponent he has, how will GSP be coming into this fight?

Will Carlos Condit look to shock the world and do what he has promised, take the belt to New Mexico? Or will the pressure of this fight play into his head? As he walks out to the octagon, Condit is focused and we do not see an interim title belt flaunted. Hmm, humble is a good approach and this is the man to do it. Condit is checked, cleared and in the cage running around. Enter: Georges St-Pierre

GSP rocking the custom white and black Hayabusa gi, this crowd is going bananas and it is loud! GSP looks good going into the octagon but very anxious. Perhaps it is focused but you can see emotion and adrenaline going through him. This is going to be a huge fight and hopefully GSP is back and better than ever. Not gonna lie people – I am biased in this fight, war GSP!

Gloves touch, twice and here we go! They feel each other out and GSP comes forward, Condit misses with a leg kick. Head kick from Condit that is checked, GSP throws a right hand that misses. Condit coming forward with shots that miss and backs out: GSP lands a jab and a takedown, into Condit’s guard. GSP in half guard and landing punches from the top and stays in half guard. Shots continue to land to the head and body of Condit. GSP landing shots to the face of Condit and we have less than a minute to go in the first round. This fight has been in Condit’s guard but GSP has stayed busy, looking to pass and hitting numerous shots to Condit. GSP takes R1 in his retrun.

Round 2. GSP sees and smells Condit’s blood and moves forward. Three piece combo from Condit hits air. GSP looks for a push kick to the face and misses, Condit lands a body shot. GSP lands a right hook; Condit looks like his timing is off and it is affectng his confidence. GSP lands a stiff jab, Condit starts to come forward and looks more relaxed in his punches. GSP lands a straight right that has Condit backing up again. Spinning backfist and kick to the face from Condit miss, GSP takes him down and gets half guard, cut on Condit is wide open. GSP is showing why he is the champion and has not missed a beat tonight. GSP landing punches and elbows on Condit. Condit looking for something off his back; blood is everywhere. Condit tries to land some elbows from the bottom, GSP is not concerned. GSP lands a punch on the way up and Condit misses with jumping kicks – he is BLOODY!; R2 is all GSP

Headkick drops GSP and Condit is all over him. Shots land and GSP scrambles out of trouble and they get back to their feet. GSP is shook and gets the fight to the ground, GSP is back in Condit’s guard. Condit is aiming for the mouse on the eye of GSP from the headkick. GSP has him against the cage and hits the body whule landing shots to he face, dropping back down. GSP has Condit standing against the cage, back on the mat GSP attacks the ribs. Condit looks for an armbar and GSP avoids the sweep. GSP is cautious of the striking of Condit now and will most likely stay on the ground from here on out. Tough round to score.

Condit looking for another headkick to open the fourth. Anderson Silva watching this fight, he does not look too concerned or impressed. GSP is laying in Condit’s guard, he is staying busy but taking the easy way out right now. Condit is working from the bottom and not making it easy for the champion to retain his title. Half guard for GSP and he hols Condit down and in his place. Condit is looking for an armbar, than a kneebar, then a triangle and GSP escapes them all. Condit reverses GSP and the quick mount from Condit ends with a scramble and takedown from GSP – Condit looks lost wrestling GSP. Silva is watching from ringside and his face says “meh”

Fifth round has seen GSP land his superman punch and leg kicks, Condit iwth a spinning back kick that sends GSP back. More successful takedowns from GSP and almost a rear naked choke for GSP. Anderson Silva looks on with approved pleasure as GSP has dominated and withstood tons of damage from a very game and determined Carlos Condit. Nobody can discredit Condit’s heart and skill, he had GSP shook and worried in this bout and never stopped coming forward. Was GSP uber amazing in this fight? No, but he was just as good when he left and will be trouble still for anyone he goes up against…except Anderon Silva. Silva will murder GSP.

Johny Hendricks def. Martin Kampmann via KO, R1

Leading up to the Kampmann/ Hendricks fight we see the same promo that has been rolling for weeks but the camera does cut to Anderson Silva and Lyoto “Movember” Machida chilling ringside. Hendricks walks out ready to go, happy and loose. He gets extra vaseline to pick his nose with it – that’s a first. Here comes “The Hitman” – always walking out to Three Six Mafia, walking out to Academy Award winners like them as your theme song, that’s a promising win everyone. Friend of Fight Hub, Stitch Duran gets the Xtreme Couture fighter ready for his contendership fight.

Frank “Twinkletoes” Trigg is in the corner of Kampmann, cool. They get rules and touch gloves – here goes the fight of former training partners. Kampmann starts with a head kick and throws another, both checked by Hendricks. Hendricks throws a big left that misses and follows with his own leg kick.  Hendrick connects with an H-bomb and murders Kampmann, he was out on his feet before he hit the ground. Hendricks is a serious fighter and best contender to fight the winner of tonight’s main event. This fight did not even last sixty seconds.

Hendricks acknowledges how serious Kampmann was a threat to him and did not take him lately, pleads for a title shot against the winner of GSP/ Condit. Wishes mom a birthday and walks away happy.

Francis Carmont def. Tom Lawlor via Split Decision (29-28 x2, 29-28 Lawlor)

Tom Lawlor is warming up in the back by throwing hadukens into the camera and dressing area, hope they don’t let the sonic booms fly or we wre in trouble. His walkout theme is “pretty fly” for a white guy – the shtick is funny but you hope he doesen’t get smoked by Carmont. Lawlor looks like a not as tanned, red bearded Helwani, mission accomplished. Carmont walks out calm and ready to go, I really do not see this going the distance. Firas Zahabi just needs to stay ringside, almost every fight has one of his guy’s inside the cage.

Before the fight even starts, Carmont looks scary and Lawlor looks scared possibly. Glove touch and Lawlor coming forward, they clinch and Lawlor has him against the cage. Joe Rogan punking the referree for being fat and Goldberg chuckles awkwardly. Lawlor jsut has him against the cage and eats knees from Carmont. That ref looks kind of like Tank Abbott and breaks them up, Rogan is baffled by it. Lawlor eats a kick and works for the takedown against the cage, Rogan has a hard on against the ref. Carmont is working a kimura and they separate. Back against the fence, Lawlor keeps pressure against Carmont, back to center octagon, Lawlor catches Carmont with an uppercut. This first round looks like a feeling out process, Lawlor catches a guillotine, it is deep but Carmont probably will survive. He does and we go to the second round. Maybe Lawlor wins it for the submission attempt.

Carmont starts second round juking Lawlor and lands a huge leg kick inside and Lawlor stays on the outside. Carmont misses a punch and lands a solid knee to the face.  Against the cage, Lawlor pressing him and tries to get him to the ground, they are apart. Lawlor lands a right, looks for more and is kept at bay by Carmont’s left hand. Carmont lands a right as Lawlor shoots for a takedown, they are against the cage. The crowd is booing – kind of have to agree but they are working a techinical bout, the ref has no idea what MMA is. Lawlor is in his guard and lands shots from the top. lawlor landing a few knees Carmont does not like, Carmont drops for a kimura but does not commit. Another takedown for Lawlor and Carmont attacks from the bottom, guillotine again for Lawlor. Lawlor has it in but looks to tired to finish it. Round two could go to Lawlor.

Goldberg is very impressed with how well Lawlor’s corner acted in their adivce to Lawlor. Carmont lands kicks to the body and keeps looking for the right hand. Carmont lands a flying knee to the body and has him held in position as Lawlor presses him against the cage.  Crowds boos, ref yells – like a Pavlov dog. Carmont throws a leg kick that is blocked, so he throws a right hook that finds its way home. Lawlor looks to clinch and nothing comes of it. Lawlor may be looking to ride it’s way to victory and Joe Rogan does not like this ref – maybe Rogan should ref? I think that would be fair if not entertaining. lawlor lands a right and he is looking sleepy in the cage. Carmoint throwing more kicks and trying to make something happen in the last sixty seconds but it may be too late. Lawlor keeps him pushed against the fence and tries to stomp on Carmont. Horn blows, crowd boos, judges score coming up.

Rafael dos Anjos def. Mark Bocek via Unanimous Decision (30-27 x3)

Next on the card is, Mark “Gingers Have Souls” Bocek vs Rafael dos Anjos… insert your own nickname for  the Brazillian as you wish. Walking out to any Kanye West/ Jay Z collabo is a good idea so maybe dos Anjos needs no nickname because he is gonna go HAM! Bocek looks like the kid everyone picks on but will kill you on the playground, I guess walking out to some 2Pac can back that up – Holla at Me!

Fight starts and we are dancing and jabbing, they clinch and Bocek has dos Anjos against the fence. Bocek throws a kick, almost looks like to the balls but we are good to go. Leg kick from dos Anjos and they are dancing and go back against the cage, Bocek pressing against the cage trying to work him to the ground. dos Anjos starts throwing knees and they break up, back to the center of the cage. Bocek lands a leg kick and then misses with a leg kick. Bocek eats a right hand that backs him a little and presses dos Anjos against the fence, again. dos Anjos landing LEGAL hammerfists to the head while Bocek again tries to drop the fight to the ground. Bocek eats a strong left hand as this fight ends the first – first round goes to dos Anjos.

Round two, gloves touch ans more dancing, Bocek misses a right and then kicks dos Anjos in the balls on purpose, Lavinge said he knows it was on purpose but don’t do it again. That is why he looks like a schoolyard killer – nut shot = victory. Bocek looks for the takedown, fails and eats a punch and gets taken doen himself. dos Anjos is on top and looking for something but looks for a kimura as he looks to submit him via head smash. Bocek gets tired of being smothered and punched so they are back on the feet, dos Anjos continuing to pressure him against the cage and lands shot to the ear, maybe trying to take the back of Bocek. dos Anjos has an arm trapped and continues to soften him up and they go against the fence, Bocek looking tired and gets taken down again by dos Anjos. Bocek is a bloody mess and loses another round.

Bocek looks horrid, dos Anjos looks fresh and ready to go, more sexual innuendo from Rogan and Goldberg says dos Anjos is “literally perfect”. Bocek has dos Anjos on the ground but only for a moment, against the cage Bocek cannot do much other than press him against chain link. Bocek gets picked up and slammed onto the canvas, dos Anjos gets it back to their feet. Bocek is in their purely on heart but fighting with heart is not always smart – know that. Bocek lands a right but then eats three from dos Anjos. Bocek is “an animal” but may be getting put down if he keeps being dominated like he has been. Lavigne breaks them up and dos Anjos throws kicks all over Bocek, Bocek trying to land punches but loses more wind with each attempt. This goes the distance and Rafael dos Anjos earns the decision.

Pablo Garza def. Mark Hominick via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 28-27, 29-28)

Here we go with the first fight! Pablo “The Scarecrow” Garza against the Canadian, Mark  “The Machine” Hominick. Should be a good battle but so was Cote vs. Sakara and we saw what happened there. Garza is fighting out of Wasco, Ca – shoutout to Spooky and Lil Joker! Hominick starts running out to the cage, looking to kick start this card.

Garza connects with a right hand early, they are both coming forward with  dangerous intentions. Garza mixing up punches to the head and the body, keeping him off with push kicks and kicks to the head winging by. Hominick lands a left and connects with multiple shots to the head, lands a leg kick on the way out. Garza hits him with a leg kick then a head kick, Hominick answers with an overhand right that has Garza covering up. Hominick takes Garza down and falls into an armbar, who escapes and is in his guard. Back to the feet, Garza backs up Hominick, head and body shots connecting. Hominick drops Garza with a body shot, lands multiple ground shots until they get back up. Garza has bloodied Hominick’s left eye and this fight is worth the money so far, exctiting round – Hominick wins this round for the knockdown and takedown.

Garza throws a beautiful jump spinning back kick…and misses. Garza missing with punch and kick combos, but wins with a takedown. Hominick scrambles away from getting his back taken and has Garza in his guard. Slow on the ground for a moment , Garza lands punches and elbows. Hominick continues to eat shots from the bottom, Garza rains them down on him and now has Hominick bleeding out of both eyes. Garza landing elbows to the face and working the scar tissue and there is blood everywhere. Hominick is going to be an ugly Shrek-mess in the next few days. Garza wins round two and this fight looks even going into the third.

Third round and after eating a body shot, Garza takes Hominick down and continues to beat on Hominick, Has anyone else noticed some of the things Goldie and Rogan say can be followed by a Michael Scott “thats what she said”, anyone? Hominick is taken down again and cannot put any submissions or sweeps together, just keeps getting held in position while getting pummeled occassionally.  Garza is going to earn the decision and Hominick is a bloody, gassed, and shambled mess.
