Former UFC light-heavyweight champion Tito Ortiz caught up with our Fight Hub TV cameras recently, as we had a few heavy questions to lay on him. First and foremost, we wanted to hear that he would be indeed fighting in March against Antonio Rogerio Nogueira. Ortiz, who is currently riding a on a three fight lose streak desperately needs a win to make him relevant in the stacked UFC light heavyweight division.
“Yea that rumor is indeed true,” confirmed Ortiz, “I have my hands full though.” Ortiz does indeed have his hands more than full, as the Huntington Beach based fighter looks to focus on his wrestling for his fight in March. It can also potentially be the last time UFC fans see Ortiz in a Zuffa branded Octagon as Dana White has made it clear that Ortiz is one loss away from being cut.
“In his mind it can be my last fight, but win lose or draw I am going to keep fighting,” responded Ortiz. Ortiz noted that he will hang up the gloves when he starts to get knocked out in his fights, disregarding his losing streak as of late and countering that he still has the ability to sell tickets and put butts in seats. Ortiz certainly does have the ability and will continue to do so even if cut by the UFC. Check out the full interview below!
