Saul “Canelo” Alvarez Talks Hatton And Silencing Doubters

Rising Mexican star Saul “Canelo” Alvarez has a huge bout ahead of him this Saturday, March 5th at the Honda Center in Anaheim. Not only will he be going up against English bomber Mathew Hatton, but the twenty year old will be finally fighting for a major world title. Some say it is too early, others like Juan Manuel Marquez say it is undeserved. Alvarez, takes it all in stride and vows a strong performance will make his doubter be silenced for the time being.

The man who sports fiery red hair was in Anaheim on Sunday, greeting fans and talking to gathered media members. Cheers on “Canelo, Canelo,” rung through out the crowd as at one point the fighter spotted himself on television. When asked how he reacts to being so wildly popular he answered, ” I am very grateful with the way the people act towards me. Very grateful and thankful. The way I can repay them is by giving them a good fight.” A good fight is certainly what fans can expect as both Hatton and Alvarez are action fighters, both displaying more their power than savant like boxing technicality.

Alvarez let us on how he feels Hatton is dangerous to him and what the future may lay ahead for the twenty year old.
