Our Fight Hub TV camera were on location in Los Angeles, CA as Top Rank in association with Zanfer Promotions held a press conference to announce the much anticipated bout between Fernando Montiel and Nonito Donaire for Montiel’s WBO/WBC bantamweight titles.
The event which is titled “Dynamite” will be held at the Mandalay Bay on February 19th in Las Vegas, Nevada. Montiel is bringing in a seventy percent knock out rate into the bout with his last three bouts coming under four rounds. Donaire, the challenger is coming off a loop-sided victory over Wladimir Sidorenko at the Honda Center in Anahiem. In the under card, Jesus Soto-Karass will face Mike Jones once more in a rematch off their explosive fight on the under card of Manny Pacquiao vs. Antonio Margarito.
Our cameras caught up with the main event fighters, Soto-Karrass and Robert Garcia, the trainer of Nonito Donaire. Certainly this is going to be one of the most highly anticipated bouts of 2011 and what a way to start the new year! Interviews included below!
