Is Mark Munoz One Away From A UFC Middleweight Title Shot?

Sun Tzu said it best, “Victorious warriors win first and then go to war, while defeated warriors go to war first and then seek to win.” UFC middleweight Mark Munoz is a man that continues to win before he steps in the cage because he has been victorious in streaks in his MMA career. “The Filipino Wrecking Machine” has to be ranked in the top five in his weight class and can’t be long out from a title shot. We got a chance to catch up with Mark at the place he trains to win before it’s time to go to war.

Our fight correspondent Marcos Villegas sat down with him at his gym, Reign Training Center to talk about his recent match up with Demian Maia at UFC 131. Mark talks about his opponent becoming a better striker, being one of the world’s best, and fighting a veteran of the sport.

Mark talks about getting hit in the fight and doing the “Stanky Leg,” his corner telling him to open up and let the leather fly between rounds. Munoz also talks about his reaction to hearing the scorecards being read, what went through his mind when he heard the results of one judges card, and standing in the middle of the cage waiting for the results.

So when will Munoz get a title shot? Does he say one or three away? watch to find out.
