Manny Pacquiao ” It Is Up To Him (Mayweather) I’m Ready Anytime”

In a special closed door media session in Los Angeles at the Wild Card Gym, pound-4-pound king Manny Pacquiao took on the media gambit answering questions from assembled reporters. We had the chance to listen in and even ask a few ourselves as Pacquiao was surprisingly honest in his answers.

We were taken aback a bit as the usual cookie cutter answers we are all so use to “I am just doing my job” or “I just want to give a good show to the people” were not put into rotation and we got to see a raw side of Pacquiao. The congressman answered questions about his legacy and if he wants to be remember like greats Muhammad Ali. Of course the conversation turned to a mega bout with Floyd Mayweather Jr. which Pacquiao insisted he is ready at anytime for that bout but the most revealing was when one reporter asked him if he feels the filipino fighter is still in his prime. Pacquiao paused for a brief second and talked quiet candidly that he is getting older and he realizes it.

It was really quite a moment hearing that from a fighter like Pacquiao whose youthful days are far behind him.
