Mancini gives Mayweather no chance against Leonard, Hearns, Benitez or Duran

Mancini MAyhem

Although Floyd Mayweather Jr. proclaims himself The Best Ever (TBE) many dispute that claim, including the legendary Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini.

Sure, Mancini, who went 34-5 with 23 knockouts in his 13-year career, says Mayweather will easily win in his rematch against Marcos Maidana Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, but against other top fighters from different generations, Mancini thinks Money stands no chance.

When asked how Mayweather would do against some of the greatest fighters in history that fought near Money’s weight class, “Sugar” Ray Leonard, Tommy “Hitman” Hearns, Wilfred Benitez and Roberto Duran, Mancini didn’t see Mayweather having any success against the four.

Sure, comparing generations is a tough thing to do, and people from past generations more times than not pick someone form their own heyday when comparing them with someone now, but when Mancini says this, it means a little more.

OF course there will be those who will say we haven’t even seen Mayweather against the best possible opponent available during his time in Manny Pacquiao, but that’s a whole different story that we may never get the answer to.
