This December 15th will mark the end of the boxing calendar as two cards compete with each out to close out our boxing season! In Houston, Nonito Donaire will attempt to KO Jorge Arce and give Filipino fans a bit of joy after seeing their pride and Joy, Manny Pacquiao be brutally knocked out by Juan Manuel Marquez.

Over here on the west coast, Amir Khan will look to bounce back from a KO loss to Danny Garcia with a win over the undefeated socal bred Carlos Molina. For Amir Khan, it is certainly a situation in which his back is against the wall, seeking to erase doubts that he is done as a world level fighter at age 26. For Carlos Molina, it is a chance to become a superstar and give Amir Khan his third straight loss. It could be the perfect timing on his part to score a upset, as questions abound where Khan is mentally coming into this fight.

In Los Angeles today, Golden Boy Promotions held a open workout for this Saturday’s event emanating from the LA Sports Arena. It will be the culmination of a Boxing festival as Leo Santa Cruz will be highlighted on CBS earlier in the day, while a fan fest will be happening at the Arena. As you can see in the video, Khan is showing some distinct improvements while hitting the mitts and shadow boxing (foot placement and separation) though the real questions about how much he has changed will be answered this weekend.
