Well this should be an interesting rewatch. Many felt Akiyama defeated Shields in this matchup at UFC 144, but only repeat viewings of a fight can truly make a decision clear. Our bud, Jake Shields, asked for Demian Maia on one of or very videos, and he got that matchup, so now in honor of that fight going down next Wednesday, the UFC has unleashed this free fight for our viewing pleasure.
Something about Jake Shields that I like watching. Not sure what. I wonder how his BJJ will be against Maia. I love that matchmaking, and I’m looking forward to it.
