De La Hoya “Possible that Canelo can fight at 147 and 154″

Fight Hub TV caught up with Golden Boy Promotions Founder and future hall of famer Oscar De La Hoya this past Tuesday in Los Angeles. De La Hoya was partaking in a media work out for Saul “Canelo” Alvarez as the rising Mexican upstart will attempt to win his first world title at 154 pounds. The man who stands in his way? The brother of Ricky Hatton, English hard hitter Matthew Hatton.

De La Hoya is expecting a good showing from the red headed fighter, as March 5th at the Honda Center In Anaheim will be the next step in his young career. Looking at Alvarez in person, it would be a safe assumption that he could easily make a drop to welterweight. De La Hoya agrees as he expects Canelo to be able to make the drop to welterweight if need be. De La Hoya talks to our cameras in depth about the future of Golden Boy, Canelo and more.
