Dana White: “Chris Weidman wants to prove it was no fluke, Anderson Silva does”

Thanks, Dana White. Thanks for backing up my previous article in saying “have you ever seen a normal Anderson interview” to one of the shook reporters at the UFC world tour. I appreciate it. I think we almost need to read between the lines of these Anderson Silva press talks and just immediately assume he’s being both 100% honest with us, and being 100% deceitful, if that makes any sense at all. Anderson is Anderson, and by God we can be sure the end of 2013 is going to go out with a bang.

I mean, seriously – I’m ready to jump out of my seat to watch Anderson vs. Weidman II right now.

Ugh, but back to the interview.

“If you watch that fight, Chris stood with him. They went down to the ground for a while, then they got up and Chris stood with him. I think this fight is going to be the biggest fight we’ve ever done, and I think the energy whether you’re there live or on television, will be ridiculous.”

“It took a week for Anderson to rematch. I flew to Los Angeles and got the deal done. I have no idea how this is going to go. Do I think Anderson will go out and fight like last time? I don’t know. He’s a freak of nature. It’s awesome. I love this fight. I don’t know if I’ve ever been this excited about a fight. I know I’m the promoter, trying to sell, but seriously.”
