Dan Hardy “Losing my grandfather..I never gotten back on track after that”

It has been quite some time since MMA fans have seen UFC welterweight Dan Hardy step inside the Octagon. The Brit’s last fight came in August of 2011, losing the veteran Chris Lytle via guillotine choke in what would be Lytle’s final MMA match. With that loss Hardy racked up a four fight losing streak and took some time away to regroup.

It seems Hardy is now ready and refocused as a few weeks back via twitter he asked Lorenzo Fertitta for a bout and his wish was granted. At UFC 146 Hardy will return to the cage facing Duane Ludwig in a life or death situation. Of course it is not literally life and death, though one has to wonder if Hardy loses will this be the end of the road for his UFC career?

We had a chance to catch up with Hardy as he speaks about how he linked up with UFC heavyweight Roy Nelson and how he has been handling this low point in his career. It is a intriguing and personal interview that you will not want to miss.
