Cung Le is a 41-year-old badass. A martial artist in the truest sense of the word. We’ve been impressed by the former Strikeforce middleweight champion dozens of times, but his knockout over Rich Franklin in China in November of 2012 was probably one of the best we’ve ever seen.
So what does this beefcake spinning kick master have to say to our Marcos Villegas? Well, quite a bit. First off, he wants a rematch against Wanderlei Silva (good, that’s one of my favorite fights) and goes into detail about his year-plus absence from the Octagon:
“This year has been great, recovering from elbow surgery since my fight and recovery has been great. Rehab and a good diet but it helps with leanness.My diet and lifting, it’s all in the diet. I’m hoping for the next Macao, not March first, maybe August. My dream matchup is a rematch against Wanderlei. I know I could’ve done better. No excuses, but I know I could’ve done better.”
Oh yeah, he also explains his infamous Instagram picture where he looked monstrous:
“Get out and suntan, get your pump on, get in the sauna so you look shredded, go up to the room, have sex with the wife then take the picture.”
