Abner Mares says that Canelo Alvarez and Alfredo Angulo really hate each other

Mares on Canelo-Angulo

If the Saul “Canelo” Alvarez-Alfredo Angulo bout didn’t get your attention just yet maybe a little feud will get you pumped for the March 8 “Toe to Toe” PPV bout.

Former WBC featherweight titlist Abner Mares said that there is some “real bad blood” between the two Mexican-born fighters.

Mares said that Alvarez and Angulo have been at odds for some time over Angulo not believing that Canelo is a legitimate title contender or champion, which hasn’t sat well with Alvarez.

This will only amp up the intensity of the bout, as if the two fighters are not in good terms with each other the punches should have bad intentions each time one is thrown.

The added attention will only help sell the fight at the MGM Grand and on pay-per-view as well, which should help Canelo’s first headlining PPV event become a success.
