Up-N-Up Exreme Cage Fighting put on there 8th event Saturday night in Kailua-Kona on the island of Hawaii. It was Van Oscar Panverroff form Kailua-Kona taking on Richard Bernard from Waianae, Oahu in the main event. Both Penverroff and Bernard looked good in their fight but Peverroff was a little quicker on his feet avoiding a majority of Bernard’s attacks and scoring with some heavy leg kicks while utilizing his jab.

In the second round Penverroff continued with his attack while Bernard seemed to settle down and find his rhythm scoring with some nice combinations and fancy foot work making it hard for the judges to score the second round. In the final round both combatants came out strong, leaving everything in the cage but when the dust settled it was Penverroff who came away with the unanimous decision. One thing was for sure even in defeat Bernard showed the heart and the determination of a true warrior.

In the co-main event it was Kauka Lindsey from Average Joe’s taking on Josh Kala from Kalani’s Fight Club. Kala came out fast trying to dictate the pace of the fight but Lindsey being the bigger and stronger opponent stood his ground and stopped Kala from establishing his game plan. Lindsey won the match due to referee stoppage from unanswered strikes 1:23 in the first round.

In other fights it was Nui Kahele from Average Joe’s tapping out Myles Campbell form H.I.B.C 2:03 in the third round. Daniel Friend from H.I.B.C stopped Jordan Lagaret from Kalani Fight Club by guillotine choke, 1:19 in round one. Also fighting was Josh Lagaret form Kalani Fight Club stopping Shane Nozaki 1:35 in the third round in what was a one of the most impressive and bloody fights of the night.
