UFC’s anticipated return to Montreal, Quebec, Canada has suffered a slight downgrade in quality, one would assume now that Rory MacDonald’s name has departed from the 170-pound showdown between he and Carlos Condit, due to injury.

Flashback to early December and the young Canadian is coming off a decisive decision victory over BJ Penn. When that fight ended, MacDonald abruptly took over his post-fight interview in the Octagon, calling for the man who defeated him in June of 2010 — Carlos Condit.

Now that the bout has been scratched, Condit was left without an opponent.

But, Carlos Condit isn’t training for nothing, in fact he’s a better fit for the just as devastating and intense, Johny Hendricks. So, the organization has made the match official — Condit versus Hendricks now takes the co-main slot and fans aren’t too upset about the two knockout artists colliding at UFC 158 in Montreal.

Can Johny Hendricks prove his worth by knocking “The Natural Born Killer” senseless, or will Condit live up to his nickname and put an end to Hendricks’ title hopes?

You’ll find out soon enough. When the UFC’s next pay-per-view event reaches Canada, for the twelfth time since 2008 for UFC 158: “St. Pierre Vs. Diaz”.
