Mike Goldberg won’t be commentating UFC 155, Anik is in for now…

For one of the first times in over fifteen years, Mike Goldberg will not be behind the mic for a UFC pay per view broadcast. Tonight at UFC 155, Joe Rogan will be dropping his knowledge alongside “B-Team” play by play caller Jon Anik taking his first slot as a PPV commentator, with no timetable of Goldie’s return. At first, everyone thought Goldberg was sick with some sort of generic illness, now it seems like Goldberg is just “taking time off” but Dana White has no clue when Goldberg will be back. Here’s what White had to say:

“He’s taking time off and is not working this weekend,”  “I don’t know when he will be back.

Hopefully that vague response doesn’t mean something sinister is waiting in the wings. The last time someone was just taking time off from a UFC event Arianny was arrested for beating up her boyfriend and Chandella was fired for her porn-filled past. We don’t think anything like that is going on with Goldie though. Get back soon!
