Ah, finally, we get some clarity on the welterweight division, and it comes right away too. Robbie Lawler and Matt Brown will be headlining UFC on FOX 12 in late July, which means Robbie will be fighting about 3 times in 4 months. People, that only solidifies his badassness. You have to think this is officially for the no.1 contendership to Johny Hendricks’ belt, which supposedly will be defended in late 2014 (maybe November or December).

Frankly, I think Robbie deserves the shot after knocking out Ellenberger, considering many thought he beat Hendricks anyways. But this will absolutely, 100% (unless there’s a weird injury) give us a clear challenger, and it really couldn’t be a better fight.

I personally think Lawler has this in the bag. A fighter who is willing to stand in front of him who can’t handle Robbie’s supreme boxing? That’s Matt Brown. This fight was made for Lawler to win and in impressive fashion, but if he loses to Brown, that’s the big win Brown has needed and has kept him out of the title picture.

No matter what, we’re going to see some cool **** come July. Can’t wait. Let’s watch this as a reminder:
