Renzo Gracie doesn’t think Anderson Silva is very humble.

I mean, when you’re the best ever, and can do what Anderson Silva does, should he really have to beat down his opponent with respect? That’s like asking Superman not to fly. At least I think so. I’m of the belief that the Demian Maia beatdown was one of Anderson’s best performances. I understand the idea of competing respectfully, but as Chael said: this is a fist fight. Let’s not forget Renzo kicking Nate Marquardt in the face. Let’s not have pots calling that damn kettle black, OK?

You get where people are coming from though, and Renzo isn’t afraid to speak out against Anderson’s actions and how he perceives them:

“Anderson is a guy that rubs many people the wrong way. He’s not a humble guy. Even though he may speak humbly when he talks, when he’s in the ring he doesn’t act humble. He puts down his opponents. He acts in a way that again, we always know what is right and wrong, and by looking at that, we know it’s wrong. It’s like you can beat your opponent, but do it with respect.”

Anderson can beat just about anyone up, with or without respect. I wonder which he will choose for Weidman?
