September has arrived, and boy will it bring a chock full of mixed martial arts action our way. First up on the docket is a busy weekend that fields both a UFC and Bellator event on the same day, as well as Invicta’s first card on UFC Fight Pass this Saturday.
On Friday, the UFC and Bellator will go head to head in the same state just about 10 miles away from each other.
UFC Fight Night 50 will go down live from the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Ledyard, Connecticut on Fox Sports 1 with the main card set to begin at 9 pm ET. In the main event of the evening, Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza will rematch Gegard Mousasi in a battle of top middleweight contenders.
Bellator 123 will go down live from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut on Spike TV with the main card set to begin at 8 pm ET. Headlining the event will be the featherweight title rematch between Pat Curran and Patricio “Pitbull” Freire.
On Saturday, September 6th, Invicta FC’s first event on UFC Fight Pass will go down starting at 8 pm ET. The event will feature two title fights in the Atomweight and Strawweight division respectively.
