Wanderlei Silva out against Chael Sonnen. Vitor Belfort in at UFC 175

I guess the writing was always on the wall, wasn’t it? Chael called it, members of the media called it, and it always just seemed like this fight, the most hyped battle in recent memory, would never actually take place. And now it isn’t. I’m devastated. I just need some sort of closure on this whole mess that was known as the year of Chael and Wanderlei, but now I’m afraid we’ll just continually get crap talk and pointed fingers mixed in with a few half-hearted shoves.

Oh yeah, the details. Wanderlei Silva is injured, so he’s out. In comes Vitor Belfort to take on Chael at light heavyweight. The place is UFC 175, in Vegas. This marks the first time Vitor has fought in the US since UFC 133, and the first time fighting in Vegas since 126 (Ando front kick). Now, he will be under the watchful gaze of the Nevada State Athletic Commission, who no doubt will be keeping an eye on his blood and urine if you know what I mean.
